How They Work

When you sign up for a program, you download a small banner window.  When you run this program while you are logged on to the internet, it flashes advertisements while you are surfing.  While this program is running you are making money.  You are not obligated to look at any advertisements if you don't want to.

Remember, there is no cost to sign up and most all companies guarantee to keep your information private.

"Get paid to use your computer" programs work the same way but they pay you to use any application on your computer.  As long as you are logged on to the internet and their banner window you are making money.

The Banner Window

The banner window usually sits on the top or bottom of your screen.  You cannot hide it out of your field of view or behind another application.  This will deactivate it until it is in view again.  Most banners have a status light that tells you when you are making money.  You can turn the banner window off any time you like.

Where does the money come from?

As an average you are paid about $0.50/hr.  Advertisers are indirectly paying you to see their ads.  A company such as GetPaid4 collects from the advertiser and shares a percentage with the users.  Some companies require that you click on about one ad per hour.
